The OSHER program has given me the opportunity to build on existing knowledge and to explore new information. It also provides a good sense of community with activities designed specifically for older adults. The travel component has given varied exploration opportunities within that community, thereby giving an added level of comfort and safety that has been important to me.
My testimonial is that I invited an acquaintance/church member to Open House who told me she heard about Osher but wasn't sure what it was all about. When I saw her a few days later, I asked what she thought of the event, she gushed 'I loved it!' Not only that, but she also 'signed up as a new member AND signed up for three classes!'
As a member of OLLI I've gained new friends, found old friends, traveled to some amazing places and attended classes that were both educational and fun.
